Meet Ciara Palmieri

My name is Ciara Palmieri, and I’m a freshman undergraduate student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I’ve been passionate about film since my sophomore year at Mamaroneck High School, where I joined the video program and became an active member of the student-led MHS Info Team, which delivers weekly school-wide information and video segments.

My favorite aspects of filmmaking are directing, editing, and, most of all, being behind the camera, working on cinematography to better tell a story. I’ve continued to develop my skills by attending summer courses at Purchase College and Savannah College of Art and Design. In the summer of 2024, I was selected to participate in the LMC Media Aspiring Filmmaker Program, which gave me even more hands-on experience in film production.

In addition to my passion for film, I’m also a dedicated member of the MHS Varsity Softball Team and have been part of the stage crew for the annual school musical. I plan to pursue film and media studies in college with the goal of becoming a director, cinematographer, producer, or editor.
